Last night we all had dinner at Brian and Ashley’s.  Curry and Sarah (Ashley’s parents) brought over a game for all of us to play; Mille Bournes. Mille Bournes is a car racing card game, getting points for collecting “miles” cards, and trying to stay on “roulez (go)” and avoid getting stopped by various predicaments like flat tires, accidents and speed limits.Â
Brian and I used to play this game in our 8th grade french classes. I remember the game being a big hit then (everyone was fighting for turns during free time), and it was again a huge hit last night. Even Paul who hates playing games had fun playing!
I definitly recommend getting this game if you are into faster-paced fun card games.Â

My cousin Rebekah had her baby, Eden Michaela Warner, last night at 7:10pm. She’s doing well and so is her mommy. Congratulations Bekah! She’s adorable!

We had a fun night for Paul’s birthday. I tricked him into taking his Durango to my mom’s house to ‘open presents’ before we went out to eat. We surprised him by telling him that the whole family was going out to eat with us at Carlo & Johnny, a Jeff Ruby restaurant in Montgomery. It was great, we all pretty much had our usual filets (you just can’t beat ’em), then Paul opened all his presents.
The funniest part of the night was the travel time. Paul’s Durango is supposed to seat 8, and it sure did. We packed ourselves in like sardines; 8 adults. It reminded me of a clown car, we were all sitting sideways and on top of eachother. It must have been a funny sight to see us all pile out of the car at the valet!

We have a new addition to our family! A kitten was found at my work today and needed a home. It was a funny coincidence because Paul and I were talking just last night about the possiblity of getting a cat for Christmas. He saw Dr. Heekin today (our vet) and was given a round of meds and blood tests. He has a very very small heart murmer, but she said he should outgrow it and it’s not a big concern. He also has 6 toes on each front foot! Dr. Heekin said it’s common in the Northeast (my aunt has had cats with 6 toes), and it’s not a concern, just a little something extra!
We are very happy to have him! Megabyte is getting used to him; she’s been sniffing him out a lot. No disagreements yet, they seem to like eachother!
He’s very snuggly and we think he’s very happy to be home. We do need a name for him though! Danielle from my work suggested Pixel (to go with Megabyte’s computer-type name); we could call him Pix for short. Paul is iffy about the name since it sounds like Pixie, and he wants him to have a manly name.
Any suggestions for names??

Since we’ve all been collecting pictures of our childhoods for Brian and Ashley’s wedding, I decided I might as well put them online, since they are so cute!
Try not to laugh too hard at my pudgy thighs in some pictures…I thinned out as I grew up!

My mom had her every-other-year Longaberger Basket party tonight. It was great. There was lots of great food, fun games, and an awesome scavenger hunt throughout the house that had people running finding clues for about an hour! Cathy won the scavenger hunt and got a great prize! Yay Cathy!
My mom is placing the official order on Thursday. If anyone missed out and still would like to order something, email me or my mom!

We got a Halloween package from Paul’s parents yesterday with some really cute Fall and Halloween decorations / table linens for our house. Also in the package was a cute shirt for Meg (of course) that says “woof” :-) She likes it a lot and it fits her great! Thanks Narni & Lary!

Kennel Cam – Megabyte
That’s right! Now Megabyte can be seen all day long on this fun thing called the Internet! She’s going to be famous! OK, maybe not. I picked up a Logitech Quickcam STX from Best Buy last night because I had $25 in reward zone coupons (love that program!). They were out of the Microsoft camera that I wanted, so I thought I would try this. The program I am using is called WebCam XP and it does a live stream, has quite a few config options and can use more than one camera! I’ve got a TV Tuner card in the PC and a camcorder @ home that I am going to try out with it as well. The software I’m using supports up to 8 cameras, and you can have all 8 feeding at the same time. Pretty nifty. Would like to get a camera angle inside her kennel and maybe one aiming outside towards the driveway or front door.
