Sean was eating a graham cracker at the end of lunch today. I, like always, was sitting by his high chair watching him. At one point, he looked at me, said “mama!” and held out his graham cracker toward me. I took a bite and thanked him. He laughed and took a bite himself. I said “what about Dada?” Sean looked into the kitchen where Paul was and held out his graham cracker toward Paul. Paul came in a took a bite and Sean again, laughed. I, of course, cried. Our little boy is growing up so fast, I can’t stand it! I can’t believe he’s starting to share *sniff*
Oh, one of his front teeth broke through today too! It was just a little corner, but you can definitely see a white speck poking through the gum 🙂
The other amazing thing about today? He slept until 10:00am this morning! What?! He went to bed around 7:30 last night, woke up around 6am to get his pacifier back into his mouth, then slept until 10am. Paul and I were shocked! I guess the emerging tooth made him extra exhausted. 🙂
We are STILL trying to get a video of Sean walking. He wouldn’t walk for us today or yesterday. We’ll keep trying, we know you are all anxiously waiting!

Sean has diaper rash pretty bad, so I decided to give him a long bath early tonight, instead of waiting until bedtime. I had his diaper already off, so I just brought him into the bathroom and he stood by the tub like always, watching the water fill the tub. When I went to take his shirt off, I noticed that he was standing in a big puddle…doh! He peed on the floor! Got the floor cleaned up, and got him in the bath. He was having a grand time, like always, then I noticed about 15 minutes later, he was grunting. Yes, when I pushed the bubbles aside, he had pooped in the bath….niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Got him showered off and downstairs, and waited for Paul to get home so I could give the tub and toys a nice Clorox bath 🙂
Guess there’s a first for everything!

Sean is walking. He is spontaneously letting go of things and walking 2-3 feet to things, or us. Tonight, he took about 9 steps to me. Of course, our video camera was deader than a doornail, so we’ll have to try to get a video tomorrow night. It’s unbelievable. Better get babyproofing!!!

We’ve never taken pictures of Sean in the bathtub, which is pretty shocking since he’s such a waterbaby. There’s also some before these of Sean and Reagan playing together.
Check out the cutest water-baby ever:
And…check out TWO teeth!

I’ve always admired Chris’s Goals postings and reviews and wondered if I could do them myself. Emily and I had some discussion on things that we would like to do. So here they are, in no particular order:
1) Except for our mortgage, we want to be debt free. This means student loans, credit cards, car payments, etc. in 2009. This is very possible and I think we can do this easily. Update: just paid off the credit cards.
2) start using that gym membership I paid for. I know its a very cliche but it needs to be done. I’ll set my goal to three days a week for 30 – 45 minutes. Doesn’t sound like much.
3) Paint the two guest rooms in the house and move the office to the 3rd floor.
4) Sell the motorcycle and find a safer toy 🙂 After a coworker was hit on his scooter checking his mail, I think I’ll put 2 wheel hobbies at a rest and maybe, eventually, get back into something fun with four wheels.

Sean’s second tooth popped through this morning 🙂 It’s the left bottom one. His two front teeth are getting ready to come any time now; his gums are swollen and red on the top. We can’t wait!

I had planned on taking 2 graduate classes this summer to complete the requirements for my school social work certification (right now I only have a temporary one). One of the classes at UK got cancelled, so I now have to take one class this spring, and one over the summer, which actually may turn out to be less stressful. The class I’m taking this Spring starts on Saturday. It’s an online class from Georgetown College, so it shouldn’t be too much hassle, seeing that I’m only required to login for 1 hour per week and just attend an orientation type class this Saturday. Everything’s on my own. Kind of nice, seeing that little Sean is so demanding of my time 🙂
So…it’s weird to be back in the “school life” but should be fun, and well worth it. I can get my Rank I after taking these 2 classes. Woohoo!

No, I’m not pregnant with triplets…
Sean has three more teeth ready to pop through! You can see the second tooth through the gums on the bottom, and the two front teeth on top are just bulging under his gums. Poor guy, he had a rough day at ‘school’ yesterday, and had to get Tylenol through the night to sleep. Pretty soon there won’t be any more of his smushy kisses 🙁 Get them while you can!
He also cracked me up yesterday with his new fascination. I got a short video of it, I’ll try to find time to post it soon. Yesterday he was fascinated with making a bubble with his mouth and letting it pop. I kept hearing him say “mwa mwa mwa” really slowly, and when I looked over, he was making a big spit bubble while slowly opening his mouth, then saying “mwa” to pop it. So cute and funny! He did it about 100 times, guess he liked the feel of it 🙂
