All Better!

Since Monday night, Sean has been sleeping in his crib and his sniffles are all gone! Mom and Dad have been sleeping well (especially mom!) and Sean is back to his normal cheerful self. He went to daycare for the first time in over a week yesterday. He was so pooped when he got home, that he was in bed by 6:30pm and didn’t wake up until midnight for a bottle! I was secretly hoping he would wake up so I would actually get to spend some time with him :)

Memorial Day Weekend

We traveled to St. Louis over Memorial Day Weekend to visit Paul’s family, and to attend Stephen’s wedding (friend of Paul’s). We had a great time and took a ton of pictures!

Still working on getting the wedding pictures online.

See pictures of Sean during the weekend by clicking below:

Sean’s getting so big! Just a few days ago, he started grabbing toys with his hand, then with both hands and then bringing the toy to his mouth. He loves this new skill and tends to hold on to his toys for 5-10 minutes at a time! He also is very talkative lately. He loves when people have “conversations” with him; mimicking the noises that he makes. He cracks up laughing and keeps the conversation going until you stop it. So cute.

I’m going to start getting some videos of Sean, hopefully on a weekly basis, and putting them on our youtube account. He’s doing so many new things each week, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy the milestones along with us. Plus, he’s so darn cute, who could resist a movie of him?? ;-)

Website Review: Schefold’s Home Page

schefold’s Home Page

I stumbled upon this today and thought I would give it a review.  In Web 2.0 standards it gets a big fat “F+”!  However, it does provide some interesting links and information.  For instance did you know that  someone named Ty Shaffer and I have something in common – we both like to make fun of Brian! Brian provides links to his friend’s webpages as well, although he is lacking paulandemily.com as well as ashandbrian.com (probably for a good reason though! :) )

Save some cash on your cell phone bill

Cell Phone Advisor – BillShrink

I think I originally saw this on LifeHacker.com (AWESOME site), but just now got around to looking at it.  You input your current cell phone plan information, your usage information (or what you would like to use) and it finds your a service provider and plan that would work best for your needs!  Emily and I are no longer in a cell phone contract and have been toying with the idea for a couple years to find something that would better our needs.  I’ve been with SprintPCS for 10 years this year (non stop mind you! how many other people can claim that??) and while I do like them, they never have good deals on their cell phones, you can’t simply switch in a sim card to a different phone and have all your contacts etc. and their phone selectiong is either childish or too professional for my needs.  Maybe after using this website, I’ll sick Emily on them like we did two years ago to get us a better deal.  I’d really like to use their wireless internet on my HTC Apache (thanks dmoney!), but the plans for that service are ridiculous for those of us who would only use it occasionally – but don’t want to pay a per minute or per Kb rate.  Playing around on the site showed me that I could probably save $240 a year by switching to T-Mobile Family plan.

I feel so old

Tonight my little brother Philip went to his Junior Prom! I can’t believe that my little munchkin brother is so grown up. He went with a long-time friend of his, Kelly. They looked wonderful together and I hope they have a great time!

Artwork that’ll make you think…

My mother emailed me a link to this website. Chris Jordan is a photographic artist and makes some truly thought provoking pieces. They are very large so viewing them on the net probably doesn’t give the viewer a complete understanding of the impact of each peice. For example “Plastic Bottles, 2007″ is 60 inches by 120 inches and “Depicts two million plastic beverage bottles, the number used in the US every five minutes.”  Take a minute to look:

Surprise!

Little Sean and I got back last night from New York for a surprise visit to Oma and Opa’s house (my dad and Colleen) in New York.  They are due to come visit in a week or so for their spring break, but I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to surprise them!  I surprised Colleen at her work and Dad at home when he got home from work.  They were just thrilled to meet Little Sean for the first time and spent all four days with him in their arms!  They are definitely in love!  I snapped a lot of pictures, including some of my mom tapping her maple trees at the cabin to make maple syrup.  All in all, it was a great visit and we look forward to having my Dad and Colleen visit us in a little over a week!

Calling all gear-heads…

Sean (the big sean, not the lil sean) works for CarDomain.com and they are looking to get more content on their website. If you are in a car club and want to spread the word about it, check this out:

We’re looking for people as crazy about cars as we are to give us the inside scoop on all the great auto events happening around the world. Everything is on the table, from 4×4 parties in the woods to hot rod meets at the local hamburger joint to Friday night showdowns at the drag strip.

You don’t have to be a photographer. You just have to take pictures. It’s a great way to get press for your car club, or just show off your pictures to the world. Plus, submitting events earns CarDomain swag! Interested? Click Here

Oh – did I mention you get free stuff for doing it?  You will get a free CarDomain Tshirt for each event you cover (they make really cool shirts too!  I’ve got two or three).  They are working on other stuff to sweeten the pot as well.
