Brain Test – are you right or left brian?

Tag: GeneralPaul C. @ 12:28 pm

I’m stealing this from this link. I am right brain oriented…but I am able to trick my brain to see it go the other way. What do you see?

IT’S the Great Right Brain vs Left Brain Test … do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic uses feeling
detail oriented "big picture" oriented
facts rule imagination rules
words and language symbols and images
present and past present and future
maths and science philosophy & religion
can comprehend can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
knowing believes
acknowledges appreciates
order/pattern perception spatial perception
knows object name knows object function
reality based fantasy based
forms strategies presents possibilities
practical impetuous
safe risk taking

took me a while to get it to spin counter…. had to concentrate on the shadow under it to get it to spin the other way

  2. Mom C says:

It went clockwise all the time…and yet…I do most of my work as a left brainer…like I noticed the typo in the title…brian not brain… 🙂 mom

  3. Paul C. says:

Leave it to my mom to point out eh typos 🙂 te trick is apparently no the shadow, i think its actually the foot from the model. Man I am going to really have to study this thing cuase its kinda spooky.
I wonder if this is similar to the way the brain interprets those 3d puzzles. I have no problem focusing a seeing those.

  4. cathy says:

ummm i think it switches half way through the loop 🙂 i saw it turn both ways.

  5. Paul C. says:

Thats probably because you use both sides pretty easily miss i-can-sing-and-play-the-bass-and-piano. I opened the file in an inimated gif editor and it is only 34 frames. I set the loop counter to play only one loop of the animation and it does one full circle.
I can now pretty much watch it and switch directions when I want it to 🙂

  6. cathy says:

wow – i guess i really am special. LOL. (and the short bus i rode in elementary school proves it). i really counted it… at 25 it switched. or am i just that good?

  7. Greg says:

I see both after about 15 turns clockwise, then it randomly goes one way or the other.

  8. Big Sean says:

i cannot get it spin counter….. And I can’t get those 3d posters to wok, either.
