1 month to go!
Had a good meeting with Rick yesterday. They already starting fixing a lot of the problems. He said he would definitly fix the creaky floors and the bathroom wall. We’ll have to wait and see if their “tweeking” of the baseboards will be good enough for us. Overall, Paul and I were satisfied that we talked with him.
Rick said that we have about a month left before the house is finished. He said the only things that are really left are final electrical/plumbing servicing, basement windows, 2nd coat of paint (once everything’s finsihed), carpet and some odd and end inspections. He said the first week or two of March it’ll be done. Yipes! That’s about 4-5 weeks from now!
Paul and I have to get moving on picking paint colors and washer/dryer and fridge!
They did a lot of work yesterday, they are testing toilets, installed light fixtures on ceilings and in bathrooms, did the kitchen faucet and disposal, finished most outlets and switches, installed cable and phone jacks, touched up drywall nicks and bumps, etc.

I should of thought of this earlier but you saying picking out paint and appliance reminded me. If you have not already done so you should go to these two sites and register TODAY. Home Depot will mail you a 10% off coupon and Lowes will let you print one as soon as you register. The 10% for both is good for your ENTIRE purchase…how can you beat that? We got them and made one huge trip and bought as much as we could at one time (shed, paint, ceiling fans, blinds, odds and ends, etc…). Happy shopping.
