Well, the bag is packed and in the car, Megabyte is at the kennel and friends and family are calling giving well wishes for tomorrow’s big event!

Paul and I went to my last OB appointment today.  I’ve progressed some, from 2cm to almost 3cm dilated, and from 60% effaced to 80% effaced.  We are going to go ahead with the induction tomorrow morning.  We have to be there at 5am.  My doctor said “see you at 7am!” so I assume that’s when the real stuff will get underway.  Other than being a little anxious, I’m doing amazingly well.  I’ve told a couple of people, it seems as though I’m more concerned about the ‘after effects’ (healing, etc) than the labor/birth process itself.  It really helps me to know that I’m already dilated and effaced, which will hopefully make the process a little easier/shorter. *crosses fingers*

It’s hard to believe sitting here in my quiet house that these are my last few hours of silence.  Pretty soon we’ll have coos and cries and little noises all the time, and will be responsible for much more than a little puppy :-).  It’s still really surreal…I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that we’ll be holding our little boy tomorrow night!

Paul will get pictures up on here as fast as humanly possible tomorrow.  I’m sure we’ll be taking thousands!
