For once, high-tech not so great

Tag: Family,Fun,GeneralEmily @ 6:38 pm

For New Years, Paul and I hung out with Brian and Ashley. We went to dinner then went back to their house and played games through the ball drop (I know, I know, we’re a bunch of party animals!). Anyway, my mom bought the new “credit card” Monopoly game, so we decided to tried it out. We set it up, and didn’t even get two rounds finished before we quit. There’s just something wrong with not having money, not hassling the banker, not talking barely at all during the game, etc. Oh well. Interesting idea, would work well if you were trying to play while you had other distractions around you like a movie playing, but overall, we’ll pass and stick to the old school way of playing. Guess you can’t get away from what you grew up with!

Good to get the heads up about the new Monopoly. My New Year’s Eve was even more exciting: paid bills and balanced the checkbook (did have champagne at midnight with Mother though). By the way, the picture did not show up with the above narrative.
