Getting back to normal

Tag: SeanAndrewEmily @ 10:34 am

Sean’s all better now from his little sicky episode. He’s slept in his crib the past two nights which has been great for me since I haven’t slept well the past few nights. I think he’s still making up for not eating very much while he was sick, so he’s up a couple times a night to eat, but it’s ok.

We’re all going to see James Taylor tonight; so Sean will have his first real babysitter. He’s really excited and so are we 🙂 Hope to get more pictures soon, I know everyone is waiting for updates!

All Better!

Since Monday night, Sean has been sleeping in his crib and his sniffles are all gone! Mom and Dad have been sleeping well (especially mom!) and Sean is back to his normal cheerful self. He went to daycare for the first time in over a week yesterday. He was so pooped when he got home, that he was in bed by 6:30pm and didn’t wake up until midnight for a bottle! I was secretly hoping he would wake up so I would actually get to spend some time with him 🙂

Sicky boy

  • Poor little Sean has been quite sick the last few days. He still has a fever and is now really congested and coughing (probably from the drainage). He throws up his bottles every now and then too. It’s been a rough couple of nights since he hasn’t slept very well, but Paul and I have battled through it. It’s amazing how well your body can function on no sleep when it’s for the benefit of your little baby.
My mom and Aunt Laurie have been amazingly helpful by watching Sean during the day for us, since he can’t go to daycare with a fever. They are even putting off their trip to New York for a few days to care for him. They are lifesavers!

I got the pictures of Sean and Reagan online, check them out here.

    Playdate with Reagan

Sean had another playdate with Reagan yesterday. Cathy and I met for sushi with the kids and then came over to my house and played for awhile before taking a walk. We had a great afternoon. Reagan continued her flirting with Sean (she thinks he’s pretty studly) and they had a great time with each other. Cathy and I are going to try to do something every Monday until Cathy goes back to work.

Got some pictures, hopefully will get them posted tonight, along with some others from this and last week.

    Slow down Sean!

    Tag: SeanAndrewEmily @ 10:13 am

Sean had a rough night last night. He woke up at 2am and couldn’t get back to sleep. He was a little warm so I took his temperature and it was 100.2. He slept on and off for the rest of the night with me (since he wouldn’t go back in his crib) and at 6:15, woke up and had a temperature of 100.4. I called the doctor and they said to schedule an appt for this morning.

The doctor said he checked out fine, just a little congested. He then felt inside his mouth and lo and behold…a bump. Yup…he’s teething. The doctor said that it’s pretty rare to see it this young, but that it does happen. So, looks like he’s healthy, just jumping way ahead of himself in the developmental milestones. The doctor was funny; he looked and Sean and pointed his finger at him (as if scolding) and said “now listen here Sean, you’ve gotta slow down buddy. Standing at 8 weeks, now teething early…look, we don’t expect much out of you when you’re zero, but once you start all this, you’re dad is going to want you do stuff like take out the trash and stuff. You’ve got to slow down and enjoy your infancy buddy, it’s a great time!” LOL. It was really cute.
So, guess we’ll be buying teething rings and stuff now. My little boy is growing up way too fast! 🙁

    Did that really just happen!?!

    Tag: SeanAndrewEmily @ 6:37 am

Sean went to sleep around 8pm last night. Usually he wakes up around 4 or 430am to have a bottle, then goes back to sleep until around 630 or 700am. Last night he woke up about 215am and couldn’t get himself back to sleep. I went in his room and cuddled him a bit and he fell back to sleep. I didn’t want to give him a bottle that early because I figured if I did, he wouldn’t make it until 630am. So, I decided that I’d just get up a few hours later around his usual wakeup time and feed him, since I don’t have to work on Mondays, I didn’t mind getting up again. I went back to sleep around 300am and when he woke up and starting crying again it was 630am! Whoa! He slept all night without a bottle!! Makes me wonder if it was a fluke or if he can do it again….:-)
